Dear husband,
I'm so blessed to have you in my life!
and thank you for making/helping me write out my 7pg dance paper at 2am last night..
I don't think I would of had it finished before class today.

Dear body,
Im so so SO sorry for putting junk in you. I feel disgusting. As soon as this whole school thing is over, im putting you on a lovely cleanse and taking you out on a nice long run.
Time to get back into shape!

Dear Cadbury eggs and hubbys awesome quesadillas,
This weekend is your last weekend to ever enter my mouth.
Seriously. I want you outta here!

Dear jobs I've applied too,
Any positive news??
Actually, do you have any news for me??

Dear readers,
I'm gong to be MIA for the next weekish or so.
It's finals week, graduation and moving time! Which will leave me little time for computer time :(
I will return shortly!!

Lessons learned

Me: Yay! I'm graduating in 93 days!!!
Lab partner: Oh sweet! Congrats! What are you graduating in?
Me: Health science; emphasis in public health!!!
Lab partner: Nice! What about your minor?
Me: Dance!
Lab partner: Just dance...?
Me: Yeeees... dance. It one of my favorite things to do!
Lab partner: Well that's a nice... it sounds funintersting jdsiuehfijkxle.

Conversation #2 {lesson learned}

Boy in anatomy lab. we'll call him Chuck.

Chuck: Can you believe we only 10 days of school left? Finals are next week!!
Me: And so is graduation!!! Boo-yah!
Chuck: Are you a health science major?
Me: Yup; public health emphasis!
Chuck: What did you decided to minor in? I'm thinking I should minor in chemistry or something...
Me: Oh good luck. Chem is hard but I'm minoring in kinesthetic studies & movement analysis.
Chuck: kinesthetic...? That sounds complex!
Me: I laugh and think yes Chuck, yes it is.

cross our fingers

So a few of you have asked about the house we've been looking at!
Here it is!!

It was built in the 40's and sits an a beautiful .3 acre lot- which will be perfect for my big flower garden and of course to let the dogs roam free.
It's a good buy for the price and we're super excited!!
This wasn't our home of choice, but a series of events lead us to this cute little one.
Scott went down to Utah this weekend to give it a final synopsis and we decided to put an offer on it!!!
So hopefully our offer gets accepted!!

Wave your broom in the air.

This was my morning.
Running around our pasture waving a broom in the air.

Let me explain. I went to let the dogs out for their morning pee and poopoo. I of course was still in my pjs. So I threw on my rain boots and my husbands big baggy jacket and threw up my nest like hair in a pony tail.
While waiting for them to finnish, Leo comes happily galloping to me.
I think "aw how precious!"
As he approaches he begins to cough and gag.
and then coughs up this rank rodent skull on my feet.
It was bad. As soon as it left his mouth I could smell it.
Leo looks up at me with this " your my best friend-- I love you" face and then grabs the skull and runs like a little pig for the pasture.

Leo has this uncanning ability to find animal skulls. It's impressive. He also likes to them to me as presents. He often places his many treasures so lovingly on my feet. weather it be coughing them up or dropping them there. It's a loving gesture.
Well, I wasn't going to let my pup ingest that nasty rotten skull and I was for sure not going to touch it with my hands. So I go grab our broom and run to the field.
I may have looked like a crazy hobo person chasing a puppy up and down the field but it was all to prevent future problems.
Like a puppy vomiting every 5 minutes or even worse toxic-rotten-skull puppy flatulence.
In the end Leo eventually dropped the skull.
and then Artie came up and ate it.
Here's to my smelly weekend!

window shopping

So I'm all alone this weekend.
The hubsters went down to cougers-a-gogo land to tour some houses.
Hopefully the one we've been eyeing is everything we've hoped for and more..
I stayed behind to accomplish the many project and papers I need to get done before finals annnnd to take care of the pups.
Unfortunately the pups decided to be super hyper/ annoyingly needy and I felt like doing nothing but chilling in my yoga pants and reading blogs.
So.. not much school work is happening… yet. {thats what Saturdays are for right?}

Tonight I was dream summer wardrobe shopping.
Of course I added things to my shopping cart,
but did not buy a thing.
The whole poor newly married college student thang kinda sucks sometimes.
Especially when you visit the alluring Anthropology website.
I had to resuscitate my wallet 3 times because it feared the high prices.
So I moved on to my next favorite store Ruche.
Super cute clothes for decent prices!
And oh my!
Do I want 80% of their selections.
Here are a few of my favorites from their spring collection!
Oh! and the last skirt is from forever21! I had to add it!

A girl can dream right..??

New glasses?

So I got my trail pairs of Warby Parker glasses! It's a pretty neat deal- they let you try 5 pairs of glasses for frreeeee for as many times as you want and in all sorts of colors!
And well... I'm slowly falling in love with the nerdy chic glasses!
In the first picture i'm sportin' the Colton's in sandalwood!
and in the second picture i'm wearing the Miles in amber.
I'm loving them!! and am seriously thinking of purchasing a pair sometime in the near future...

Wrap my little one up

Dear husband,
Ok... I promise i'm not baby hungry or anything, but a lot of the blogs I follow either have kids, just had a baby or are pregnant.
So, today on one of my daily read I came across these baby cocoons!!!
How precious are these?
Perfect for the little ones!

Blue inspiration

Dear husband,
We are on the brink of putting an offer on our cute little home!
and of course i'm already thinking of ways I could decorate each room.
I've been flipping through interior design blogs like crazy!
Im loving the blue walls inspiration over at Simply Grove!
I'm excited!!
This weekend we'll know for sure!!

Sorry about being MIA these past few days..
With finals, moving and house buying just around the corner life got a little crazy.
But not to fret!
I plan on catching up this weekend!

And totally loving these pretty yummy looking treats!

Weekend recap!

This weekend was supposed to super duper busy with homework, research papers and studying.
But as Senioritis deepens it's roots within my brain I find it hard to sit down and work on something for more than 5 minutes. Which is why I only got one paragraph of my dance research analysis paper done, 6 questions accomplished on my heart exam, and my name and title on my anatomy research paper.
After a many failed attempts at accomplishing my long list of school work, I gave in.
It was a semi-spring day and the sun was out (although it was still freezing)
Instead of homework the hubs and I found a many things to keep us occupied:
  • We went to lunch with my awesome cousin and ate amazing food
  • We bought 5 boxes of the coveted girl scout cookies
  • We ate all 5 boxes...
  • We had dinner with friends, hung out and went to the cinema
  • We taught Leo how to heal off leash, sit, lay down, stay and release. (he's an uber smart little guy)
  • We found the source of my cry spells (and decided to stop taking the tiny daily nugget)
  • We also went on lots and lots of walks

Letters in hues of purple

Dear anatomy and dance research papers,
Can you please write yourselves??
I'm currently experiencing a slight writers block
and can't get past writing my name and title.
Thank you!

Dear chemistry,
Why is it that I can get an A on an Anatomy test but can only get a C on your exams?
It just doesn't make sense!
I'm even doing better in Economics! (Which is saying something)

Dear weekend,
Please oh please go by slowly.
Suuuuper slowly. Like, were talking DMV slow.

Dear dream house,
Please stay on the market!
We love your cute little windows, your huge yard and beautiful country/cottage home style.
We promise were going to buy you we've just got to prove we're making enough to afford you.
But if any potential buyers come by, scare them off with giant rats or some how develop a temporary mold infestation. Temporary, being the key word.
We'll be yours soon!

Dear Artie and Leo,
I love when I'm doing homework on the floor and you both come over close to me and tentatively watch my every move. Leo will eventually drift off to sleep, but Artie stays awake and just lays there watching me. It makes me love you guys so much more.

Love me!

{This picture makes me happy!}

{Love song}

Dear husband,

I think it's safe to say that Spring is here!!!!

Do you have a bread machine?
Well! If so I found the greatest most delicious bread your taste buds will ever taste!
Crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside!
And not to mention it's a breeze to make!
Try it!

Letters to our pups

Dear Leo,
I love that you get super hyper and excited when you see grass!
It's the cutest little gallop I have ever witnessed.
Poor thing has never seen a day of warmth in his life- and since the snow has started to melt any patch of grass he sees gets pounced on by his hug paws.
It's adorable.
I'll have to video it
p.s your Chewbaca howls are soooo cute!

Dear Artie,
Your crazy hyper and love to chew your bone on my foot.
But I love you despite your crazy obnoxious self.

Dear puppy gas,
Your rancid and need to book the next train outta here.
You make me gag.
Dear husband,
The week is almost over and I couldn't be happier!
Not that this week has been hard or anything (actually it's been the total opposite)
One week to closer to graduating university!

Here are some pictures of our house hunting adventure

Can you say awkward buffalo?

Sea of Love

Dear husband,

I love this song so much...
It reminds me of the journey we shortly started 7 months ago and the deepening eternal love we have for one another.

I loved that Cat Powers covered the song. She has such a soothing voice. You can hear the original here!
I love you hubby!

Thank you for being an incredibly wonderful man.
Your Mama raised you well

Dear dream house,
We found you!!!
But why oh why are you slightly out of our price range??
We will get you- I promise!
However, I need to find a job first...

Dear Job postings,
I applied for 6 of you this morning.
Man, whats up with all the questions?
Please oh please give me positive news when contacting me!
Seriously, I will only accept positive news.

Dear Stef, Joey and Ollie
Your house is cute, your puppy cuter and we can't wait to move down to Utah.
Lots of puppy play date, baking, gardening and crafting.

Dear family,
It was fun getting together this weekend!
Lets do it again sometime yes?

Dear future Mickelle Smith
We're so sorry we can't make it to you wedding!

Dear senioritis,
Is there a cure for you?
If so, get me a prescription STAT!

Drum Jam

Dear husband,

For my dance class I have to plan a 2 hour recital. I have to plan decorations, costumes, props, choreography style, design the program and find lots and lots of awesome music!
I decided to go with an African safari theme and I'm addicted!
I've always loved African dancing
It's grounded, loose, energetic and uses your whole body.
And the music is beautiful! I've seriously searched through hundreds of different songs and found 20 songs I find perfect for the recital.

I'm actually quite happy and impressed with the recital I have planned.
Here are 2 songs I'm completely addicted to.

and of course the song Wavin' Flag from the 2010 World Cup (which I've had stuck in my head since Saturday)

Dear husband,

So the first day of spring is next week!!
But... we live in potato-a-go-go land so spring truly doesn't arrive here till the end of June.
Lucky for us we're moving onto greater and better things in April!
And I hear where we're going Spring arrives on time.

I can't wait for picnics, camping, swimming and gardening!

**All pics here

pretty cookies

Dear Hubby,

I'm really obsessing over Macarons!
The pretty colors, rich flavors...
goodness. I need to get me some macarons!

Love your cookie craving wife

Oh snap!

Dear husband,

I love our ridiculous play fights.
We laugh and "fight" over some of the most ridiculous things!
Like this morning/afternoon I was hating on your dog for breathing on my apple. And then you kept mentioning your junk-food cravings, trying to tempt me (We're on this whole food detox) and then you accused me of manipulating you to try a whole wheat pizza crust instead of the regular!
I love them! They make for a good ab crunching laugh!

I love you babe and I'm so happy to be your wife!

Hakuna Matata

Dear husband,

Did you know that my favorite Disney movie is the Lion King?
I've loved it ever since I saw it in theaters!
which was forever ago..

I still get teary eyed thinking about thinking about Mufasa dieing.

Love wifey

P.s Doncha think baby Simba looks like Leo?

New and improved wife!

Dear hubs,

I'm turning a new leaf!
This morning I had an epiphany- and that epiphany will change my life for good.
I realized that I've let stress creep into my life.
And sadly it has made itself quite comfortable in my once carefree mind set.
So! I've decided to really try my hardest to flush the stressors out of my life for good.
Now I know this isn't entirely possible, but the way I respond to the stress will make my life, your life, our children's life and our dogs life a whole lot more enjoyable.
I can choose to either save my life or give myself a brain aneurysm at the age of 40 due to the high amount of stress.
I chose life filled with more enjoyment (a-duh)
While sitting in chemistry I complied a list of goals that I think will help ease the stress for this last bit of the semester.

They are..
  • No Facebook. Ever.
  • Read scriptures 30min per day
  • Meditate/yoga 30 min per day
  • Only 1 hr of Internet per day
  • No more house hunting until we're really ready
  • Manage time more wisely
    • Do homework from 2:30-930pm
    • Pick up house from 9:30-11pm
    • In bed by 11pm
  • Eat healthy (no more junk binging on the weekends!)
  • No more procrastinating on assignments!! (biggy!)
Anyway, I pray I stick to these goals.

Love namaste wife
